Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors:

Sow thinly on the surface of moist seed compost from January to March. Do not cover, as light aids germination. Maintain a temperature of 18–20°C. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays and grow on in cooler conditions. Harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost.

 

Outdoors:

Plant in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil, spacing plants about 25 cm apart. Remove faded blooms regularly to prolong the display and encourage fresh growth.
