Aster Pompon Mixed (Callistephus chinensis) is a charming annual known for its compact, globe-shaped blooms in a cheerful mix of pink, purple, red, white, and lavender.

 

With its neat habit and tightly packed petals, this variety adds playful texture and vibrant colour to borders, containers, and cutting gardens from midsummer into autumn.

Sowing Instructions

Indoors:

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of fine seed compost from February to April. Cover lightly with compost and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Once seedlings are strong enough, prick out into individual pots and grow on until ready to plant outdoors.

 

 

Outdoors:

After the last frost, transplant seedlings into a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil, spacing 25–30 cm apart. Water regularly and deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.
