This aromatic bushy herb has dark green leaves that have a peppery taste with white to pink flowers during summer.

 

A popular herb that contains many antioxidants that can be used during summer or dried for winter use. 

 

Ideal for a variety of culinary dishes or as an ornamental plant in a flower border or pots and containers.

Sow March - May 

Use leaves in sauces, soups, stews and meats

Pick the leaves when required 

 

 

Sow outdoors into well drained soil from April onwards into a finely raked seed bed and cover the seed sparingly. Thin the seedlings to 30cm apart when they are large enough to handle. Transplant to their final growing position or into pots to grow on. 

 

Alternatively sow the seed from March into a seed tray and place on a warm window sill transplant the seedling into individual pots when they are large enough to handle to grow on.

Plant out when the risk of frost has passed.
