Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds directly outdoors from March to July in rows 2 cm deep and 30 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 25-30 cm spacing as they grow to give plants room to mature. Ensure the soil is kept moist and weed-free during the early stages of growth.

 

For a head start, sow seeds indoors in modules in late winter, then transplant to their final position outdoors after hardening off.

 

Water consistently to encourage healthy growth and feed with a high-potassium fertiliser during the growing season. Harvest outer leaves first to promote continuous production, leaving the inner leaves to mature.
