Sowing Instructions

 

Start seeds indoors from January to April in trays or pots filled with fine compost. Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep and maintain a temperature of 18–22°C. Once seedlings develop their first true leaves, transplant them into larger pots. Harden off before transplanting outdoors once all risk of frost has passed.

 

Plant out in a sunny, sheltered location from late May to early June. Space plants at least 50 cm apart and provide strong support. Keep soil consistently moist and feed regularly with a potassium-rich fertiliser for optimal fruiting.
