Phlox Tapestry Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This old fashioned cottage garden flower has a unique mix of coloured flowers held in clusters above light green foliage.

A lovely scented annual ideal for growing in beds, borders and mixed container displays providing long lasting summer colour.

Sow February - April

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 10 - 21 days.

Ideal for containers, beds, borders, cottage

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between February - April in a propagator or warm window sill onto sieved moist compost and press the seed down gently.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays spacing the plants 5cm apart to grow on.

Harden off before planting out when all risks of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow outdoors from April into finely raked well watered weed free soil 5mm deep.

When the seedlings emerge thin to a final spacing of 15cm.
