Pink Silk Tree Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This fast growing deciduous tree bears fern like double pinnate leaves with attractive slightly aromatic pale pink flowers from late summer.

These make attractive plants for a large planter.

Sow Year Round

Germination time 14 - 50 days

Well drained all soil types

Height 600cm x 900cm

Plant in sun or part shade

Flowers July - September

Planting ideas beds borders and large containers

Prune in winter or spring cutting back any crossed branches

Soak the seed in warm water 12 hours before sowing.

Sow the seed year round into pots of moist compost 1cm deep and place on a warm window sill or in a propagator the temperature needs to be between 20 - 25°.

When the plants are large enough to handle transplant into individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off and plant out when all danger of frost has passed.
