Pampas Grass Plume Pink Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This ornamental perennial grass has long slender arching green leaves with stunning pale flower plumes from late summer.

An evergreen plant for garden borders or large containers the flowers make an excellent cut flower.

Seed Qty 0.2 grams

Sow March - June or year round

Loam or clay soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Height 200cm

Plant in sun or part shade

Flowers August - November

Ideal in beds, borders, containers, gravel, low maintenance

Also known as Cortaderia selloana

Sowing the seed is possible year round if a gentle heat can be achieved.

Sow onto a seed tray of moist compost covering lightly with compost and place on a sunny window sill or in green house between March - June.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot on in to individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting them out into their final growing position.
