This clump forming hardy perennial is extremely long flowering and is perfect for a sunny border the tall stems have tiers of bright purple flowers throughout summer.

 

Also known as bee balm it is a great plant for attracting wildlife into the garden.

Sow February - May 

 

Sow between February - May on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 7.5cm pots.

 

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed to flower the following year.
