Pampas Grass Plume White Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tall evergreen ornamental perennial grass has long arching green leaves with eye catching white flower plumes from late summer.

An great architectural plant for borders or large containers they make an excellent cut flower.

Loam or clay soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Ideal in beds, borders, gravel, low maintenance

Also known as Cortaderia selloana

Sowing the seed is possible year round if a gentle heat can be achieved.

Sow onto a seed tray of moist compost covering lightly with compost and place on a sunny window sill or in green house between March - June.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot on in to individual pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting them out into their final position.
