Echinacea Purpurea Purple Coneflower Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This eye catching tall perennial has downward facing pale purple daisy like flowers with a brown conical cone.

A great plant for growing towards the back of a sunny mixed borders and looks very effective grown in drifts.

Attracts a host wildlife into the garden.

Cut to round level after flowering

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays or small pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
