Cornflowers Polka Dot Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This delightful hardy annual is a border favourite it's a slightly lower growing variety with a mix of delightful colours in various shades including blue, lilac pink and purple during summer.

They attract butterflies and other wildlife into the garden grow in drifts for stunning effect.

Sow March - April or September

Germination time 10-14 days

Loam ir sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow the seed in a sunny border between March - April in warm moist finely raked soil where they are to flower 5mm deep.

When the seedlings emerge thin them to 10-15cm.

Alternatively sow September to flower the following year.
