Everlasting Immortelle Xeranthemum Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This fast growing hardy annual has pretty double daisy flowers with a papery texture in various shades of pink and white.

The flowers make an excellent border or container plant and perfect for drying for indoor displays.

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow the seed between April and May 5cm deep into finely raked soil that's been well watered when the seedlings emerge thin to 20cm apart.

Alternatively sow indoors in a seed tray on a sunny window sill during March.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle pot into trays of compost 50cm apart or individual pots to grow on.

Plant out when the risk of frost has passed.

Cut and hang the flowers upside down to dry when they are open.
