Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds on the surface of moist free draining compost and cover lightly with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Maintain gentle warmth and keep the compost evenly moist until seedlings appear. Transplant young plants into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off gradually and plant out after the last frost into warm sunny positions
 
Grow and Maintenance
Water regularly during dry spells and feed lightly to support leafy growth. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants and remove flower buds if a longer leaf harvest is desired. Provide a sunny sheltered position for the best colour and flavour. Protect young plants from slugs and snails
