French Bean Dwarf Cannellino ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This reliable low growing french bean produces high yields of oval pods containing white beans that can be left on the plant to be shelled and dried for winter use.

The tasty beans can be picked during summer whilst young to be steamed or boiled.

Harvest July - September

Companion plants Carrots, beetroot, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and cucumber

Harvested when young and tender or can be left on the plant and used for dry plants.

A good source of vitamin A and Fibre

Use for steaming & light boiling suitable for home freezing for winter use. The beans can be dried at the end of the season and used as haricot beans.

Sow between April - June into pots or trays on a sunny window sill or green house and plant out when the risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow direct into the ground where they are to grow when the risk of frost has passed plant out 40cm apart leaving 60cm between rows in a sunny position.
