Violet Panic Grass Seeds.

An elegant and ornamental annual grass, Violet Panicum is prized for its striking foliage that transitions from green to deep purple as the season progresses.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from February to May or directly outdoors from May to June.

 

If starting indoors, place seeds on the surface of moist compost in seed trays or pots, lightly pressing them into the soil without covering, as they require light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 18–22°C and keep the soil moist.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting out in their final position. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil, spacing plants 40–60 cm apart.

 

For direct sowing, scatter seeds over prepared soil, lightly press them down, and water gently. Thin seedlings as needed for optimal growth.
