Sunflower Bambino Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This low growing sunflower has golden yellow petals that surround a dark brown central disc the large flowers bloom on a single stem.

They are excellent for growing in pots and containers and make a good cut flower.

Sunflowers are an excellent choice for encouraging wildlife into the garden.

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow in March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39 - 45cm apart.
