Sow: March – September (succession sow for a longer harvest)

Germination: 7 – 14 days

Soil Type: Light, fertile, well-drained soil with neutral pH

Height/Spread: 15 – 25 cm tall, 20 cm spread

Harvesting: 4 – 6 weeks after sowing; pick young leaves regularly

Companion Plants: Lettuce, Radish, Carrots

Avoid Planting With: Brassicas (to reduce risk of pests and disease)

 

Sowing Instructions

 

Prepare a fine seedbed in the garden or a container. Lay out the seedtape in a straight line, cover lightly with soil (approx. 1 cm deep), and water well. Space rows about 20 cm apart for optimal growth. Keep the soil consistently moist to encourage germination.

 

Harvest leaves regularly to promote new growth, starting when they reach 7–10 cm in length. For a continuous supply, sow additional tapes every 2–3 weeks throughout the season.
