Phlox Moody Blues Seeds - Irish Plants Direct
 
A bushy half hardy annual smothered in attractive flowers across varying shades of blue throughout summer. Ideal for edging beds and borders and for mixed container displays on a sunny patio, delivering reliable colour with minimal fuss. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering through the season.

Sow February to April on a warm windowsill or in a propagator.
Germination 10 to 14 days in warm, steady conditions.
Soil and Position Loam, chalk, or sandy soils; acidic, alkaline, or neutral. Plant in full sun.
Height Up to 25 cm; compact habit with a spread to around 25–30 cm.
Flowering June to October in good conditions.
 
Sowing instructions
 
Depth and cover: Sow into trays of moist compost and cover with 5 mm of sieved compost.
Growing on: When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant 5 cm apart into trays to grow on. Harden off and plant out after last frost.
Spacing: Space plants around 25–30 cm apart to allow a full, bushy habit.
 
Grow and maintenance
 
Care: Plant in full sun in free draining soil; water regularly while establishing and moderately thereafter. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering.
