Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to May in seed trays or pots filled with well-draining compost. Lightly cover the seeds with compost and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C until germination. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting outdoors after the last frost.

 

For outdoor sowing, scatter seeds in a well-prepared, sunny bed from May to June. Lightly rake over the soil, water gently, and thin seedlings to 30–40 cm apart.
