Hollyhock Pink Seeds

Staking may be required in exposed locations to support tall flower spikes.

 

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to June in seed trays or individual pots filled with fine compost. Lightly cover with soil and maintain a temperature of 15–20°C, keeping the compost moist until germination. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots and harden them off before planting outdoors in late summer.

 

For outdoor sowing, scatter seeds directly into a prepared bed from May to June. Lightly cover with soil, water well, and thin seedlings to 30–45 cm apart once established.

 

Flowering occurs from the second year onwards. To prolong their lifespan, cut back spent flower stems after blooming while allowing some seeds to self sow naturally.
