Hollyhock ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tall cottage garden perennial has a mix of mallow like single flowers in various shades of pinks and reds from late summer.

A lovely flowering plant for the back of a sunny border or against a wall for eye catching displays.

Excellent for attracting bee's into the garden.

Germination takes 21 - 28 days

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Cut down to the base after flowering. May need staking

Sow between March - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 1.5cm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 7.5 cm pots.

Plant out from July onwards for them to flower the following summer.

Alternatively sow outside between May - July in a sunny border.
