Helianthemum Rock Rose Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This low growing trailing evergreen shrub has lance shaped dark green leaves that are smothered in saucer shaped pinky red flowers during summer.

A low maintenance shrub that spreads quickly and provides great colour towards the front of a mixed border, rockeries and gravel garden.

Germination takes 10 - 30 days

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Lightly prune after flowering

Sow between February - June on a warm window sill placing the tray in a polythene bag or in a propagator onto trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

Germinate between 21° - 24°.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into pots or trays to grow on.

Grow on and plant out when the risk of frost has passed to flower the following year.
