Sow April to June indoors or directly outdoors after the last frost. Germination 7 to 14 days at 18 to 22°C. Soil and Position Fertile well drained soil enriched with compost; prefers full sun and sheltered conditions. Height and Spread Vigorous trailing plants suitable for greenhouse or outdoor culture. Harvesting August to October; fruits mature into large bottle shaped forms.

 

Sowing instructions

Sow seeds individually in pots indoors from April or directly outdoors after frost risk has passed. Plant seeds 2 cm deep. Harden off indoor seedlings before transplanting. Space plants 90 cm apart in rows or grow in large containers. Water well after sowing and keep soil evenly moist.
