Fullers Teasel Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This eye catching tall upright branching biennial has spiky elongated cone shaped flowers that have small pale lilac flowers.

They open from the middle of the cone then from top to bottom.

They are loved by bee's and butterflies and is a great architectural plant for borders.

Use as a cut flower for dried indoor displays.

All soil types that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Planting ideas Beds, wild, wildflower, borders, cottage, cut, low maintenance

Leave the flower head for wildlife over winter, or cut for dried flower arrangements

Sow outdoors between May - August into a seed tray of compost and place in cool greenhouse, cold frame or window sill and keep moist.

When the plants are large enough to handle pot into individual pots to grow on.

Plant out in autumn to flower the following year.

Alternatively sow in drills 5mm deep where they are to grow in a sunny border thinning the plants to around 30cm apart
