Gaillardia Aristata Mixed Seeds

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and press lightly without covering, as light aids germination. Keep at 18 to 22°C until seedlings appear. Transplant into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 30 to 40 cm apart. Gaillardia prefers poor soils and minimal feeding.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water during dry spells until established, then reduce watering. Deadhead to prolong flowering or allow to self-seed lightly. Suitable for borders, wildflower gardens, and pollinator planting. Cut back in autumn or leave seed heads for winter

interest.
