Echinacea Autumn Beauty Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This low maintenance border perennial has a bright mix of daisy flowers in a good range of colours.

The flowers have downward facing petals that surround a brown central cone and are excellent for growing towards the back of a mixed border they looks very effective grown in drifts.

Attracts a host wildlife into the garden.

Germination time 14 - 28 days.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Height 70 - 80cm

Plant in sun or partial shade

Flowers June - September the following year

Ideal for beds, borders, cottage, wildflower, cut flower

Cut to round level after flowering

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays or small pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.
