  • Description

A compact cosmos with rich deep carmine pink single flowers held above fine fern like foliage bringing bright colour to beds borders and containers.

Cosmos Sensation Carmine is a lower growing form of the classic cosmos family producing vivid deep carmine pink blooms that stand out strongly against the soft feathery foliage.

Plants form a bushy upright shape reaching forty to fifty centimetres in height making them ideal for the front of borders mixed beds and container displays on sunny patios.

The flowers are rich in nectar and pollen and attract bees butterflies and many other pollinating insects making this variety an excellent choice for wildlife friendly gardens.

This cosmos thrives in full sun and well drained soil and is known to flower even more freely in poorer ground where growth remains compact and blooms are abundant.

It is easy to grow long flowering and excellent for cutting with stems that hold well in the vase.
Plants often self sow allowing new seedlings to appear the following year.
