Cornflower Red Ball Seed - Irish Plants Direct

A striking twist on a cottage garden classic, this vibrant red-flowered variety of Centaurea cyanus brings a bold splash of colour to borders, wildflower meadows, and cut flower arrangements.

With its delicate, ruffled petals and slender stems, it adds charm and movement to any planting scheme while attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

Easy to grow and drought-tolerant, this hardy annual thrives in poor, well-drained soil and full sun, making it an excellent choice for naturalistic plantings, pollinator-friendly gardens, and informal floral displays. Regular deadheading encourages prolonged flowering throughout the summer months.
