Sow March to May directly outdoors in prepared beds. Germination 14 to 21 days at 15 to 20°C. Soil and Position Light well drained soil; prefers full sun. Height 30 to 60 cm with upright stems and golden yellow flowers. Flowering June to September.

 

Sowing instructions

Prepare a fine seed bed in full sun. Sow seeds thinly in drills 1 cm deep and 25 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 15 cm spacing once established. Water well after sowing and keep soil evenly moist during dry spells. Corn Marigold is best grown in naturalistic plantings.

Grow in light soil with regular watering during dry periods. Corn Marigold thrives in sunny sites and is hardy in summer conditions. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering or allow plants to self seed for naturalised displays.
