Improved Rainbow is a colourful coleus mix grown for its striking foliage which appears in a wide range of vivid tones from deep burgundy and purple to bright greens yellows and rose shades creating instant impact in borders and containers.

 

Plants form neat bushy growth with broad velvety leaves that develop intricate patterns and contrasting edges giving each plant a unique appearance.

 

This mix performs well in partial shade where the colours stay rich and saturated and the leaves often intensify in brighter light producing even stronger tones

Germination 10 to 20 days at 20 to 25 C

Sowing instructions

Sow thinly on the surface of moist fine compost and press gently without covering heavily

Keep warm and evenly moist until seedlings appear then prick out and grow on in bright filtered light before planting out after frost

Remove flower spikes to maintain strong foliage colour

Water regularly but avoid waterlogging
