A colourful hardy annual producing bright papery bracts in shades of blue pink and white on upright branching plants.

Clary Mix is a vibrant annual grown for its striking coloured bracts which sit above the small flowers and create a long lasting display in borders beds and cutting gardens.

Plants form bushy upright growth with strong stems that hold their colour well through summer making them ideal for mixed plantings and cottage style borders.

The bracts appear in a blend of blue pink and white depending on the mix and their papery texture makes them excellent for fresh arrangements and for drying as everlasting flowers.

Clary Mix is easy to grow and thrives in full sun and well drained soil with good drought tolerance once established making it a reliable choice for gardeners of all experience levels.

Plants flower over a long season from mid summer to early autumn and attract bees and other pollinators while adding height colour and structure to the garden.

Sowing instructions

Sow thinly on the surface of moist fine compost and cover lightly with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite

Keep evenly moist until seedlings appear then prick out and grow on in bright conditions before planting out after frost

Support may be helpful in exposed sites

Cut stems early in the day for the best vase life
