Celery Golden Self Blanching 3 Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow variety is a popular self blanching celery with light green crispy crunchy stems that have a mild flavour.

A compact variety that is ideal for a smaller garden.

Companion Plants French beans, Leek, Tomatoes, Cauliflower and Cabbage

Harvest from August onwards a few stems can be removed from the outside of the plant when required or dig up the whole plant.

A good source of vitamin K, B6 and potassium

Ideal for salads, stews or soups

Celery is an ideal vegetable to grow if the soil retains moisture ensure it is well fertilised. Keep well watered and remove any side shoots that may grow.

It is in the ground for a long time but we'll worth the effort.

Sow the seed in trays 1.5 cm deep March - April on a sunny window sill. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into tray 7.5cm apart or individual pots to grow on, gradually harden off the plants and transplant out from May onwards.
