Campion Silky Pink Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

A low growing perennial plant with clusters of slender stems over green foliage that carry delicate star shaped deep rose pink flowers .

Grow towards the front of a sunny border or mixed container displays.

All soil types are acidic, alkaline or neutral

Ideal for pots, containers, borders, rock gardens

Also known as Silene keiskei

Sow between January - April window onto sieved moist compost and press the seed down gently cover with grit or vermiculite and water.

Leave in a cold frame, the seed needs a period of cold to break the dormancy.

If the seed does not appear do not discard the seed tray as it can possibly take a while to germinate.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays spacing the plants 5cm apart to grow on.

Harden off before planting out when all risk of frost has passed.
