Sunflower Evening Sun Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

The Helianthus annuus commonly known as Evening Sun Sunflower is a stunning variety celebrated for its rich, warm-toned blooms in shades of red, orange, and yellow.

The Latin name Helianthus annuus translates to "annual sunflower," with "helios" meaning sun and "anthos" meaning flower, reflecting its vibrant, sun-like appearance.

Evening Sun is a branching variety, producing multiple flowers on each plant, making it a striking addition to gardens and perfect for cutting.

This tall and robust sunflower reaches an impressive height of 150-180 cm and thrives in well-drained, moderately fertile soil with full sun. Evening Sun Sunflowers bloom from mid-summer to autumn, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to your garden. Their multi-coloured petals and dark centres make them a standout feature in borders, hedges, or wildlife gardens.
