A striking and productive shelling bean with distinctive black and white patterned seeds resembling the yin yang symbol. Known botanically as Phaseolus vulgaris Yin Yang this variety combines ornamental appeal with excellent culinary value. The compact bush plants produce pods filled with plump beans that are ideal for drying and storing as well as for use in hearty soups stews and casseroles.

Unlike climbing beans Yin Yang requires no support and is easy to grow in gardens raised beds and allotments. Its unique seed markings make it a favourite for both gardeners and cooks who appreciate beauty as well as flavour.
