Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to May in seed trays or pots filled with fine compost. Lightly cover with compost and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged until germination.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and harden them off before planting outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 30–45 cm apart in a sunny or lightly shaded spot.

 

For outdoor sowing, scatter seeds in a well-prepared bed, lightly rake over, and water gently. Thin seedlings to the recommended spacing once they are established.
