Aster China Pompon White Seed

A refined and free flowering annual with perfectly rounded pompon blooms in pure white.

 

Pompon Aster White forms compact, bushy plants covered in dense, chrysanthemum like flowers that bring a fresh and elegant display from mid to late summer. The blooms are long lasting, excellent for cutting, and highly attractive to butterflies and pollinators.

 

This easy to grow annual thrives in full sun and well drained soil, making it ideal for borders, cottage gardens, and cutting beds. Compact and reliable, it adds brightness and contrast to seasonal displays.

Germination 10 to 14 days at 18 to 21°C

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly cover with fine soil or vermiculite. Maintain temperatures at 18 to 21°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination is usually rapid within 2 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 20 to 30 cm apart. For direct sowing wait until soil is warm and frost risk has passed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser to encourage abundant blooms. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the display and maintain tidy growth. Pompon Asters thrive in sunny positions and are excellent for cutting gardens, borders, and decorative summer displays.
