Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds directly outdoors from early spring to late summer for a continuous supply of fresh leaves. Prepare a fine seedbed and sow thinly in drills 1 cm deep, spacing rows 25-30 cm apart. Cover lightly with soil and water well.

 

 

Thin seedlings to 10-15 cm apart once they develop their first true leaves. Keep soil consistently moist to prevent bolting in warm weather. In hot conditions, provide partial shade to extend the harvest period.

 

For baby leaves, sow densely and harvest when 10-15 cm tall. For mature greens, allow plants to grow to full size before harvesting individual leaves as needed.
