This popular cottage garden perennial has a delightful mix of bi coloured flowers that stand on slender stems above blue green foliage.

 

Perfect in the garden border for a splash of early summer colour.

 

The flowers are very attractive to a range of wildlife.

Sow February - June

 

Sow between February - June on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 5cm pots to grow on.

 

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out from April onwards for them to flower the following summer.

 

Alternatively sow outdoors between May and July in a seedbed or trays transplanting the small plants to their final flowering position in October or November.
