Agapanthus Blue African Lily Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This sun loving tall eye catching perennial plant has impressive ball shaped blue flowers that stand majestically on tall slender stems above strappy green foliage.

Grow in mixed borders, cottage gardens, pots and containers for stunning long lasting summer displays.

Sow January - April or September - October

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 35 - 50 days.

Sow from January - April or September - October on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost or horticultural grit.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their flowering position after all risk of frost has passed.

They will flower in their second year.
