Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors:

Sow from March to April in trays or small pots filled with fine seed compost. Press the seeds lightly onto the surface without covering, as light aids germination. Maintain a temperature of 18–21°C and keep the compost moist but not waterlogged. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots and grow on until strong enough to plant outdoors.

 

Outdoors:

Direct sow from late April to May in a sunny, well-drained position. Lightly rake seeds into the soil and water gently. Thin seedlings as necessary to allow room for healthy growth and airflow.

 

Cut back spent blooms to encourage fresh growth and prolonged flowering.
