  • Description

A graceful long flowering achillea blend with soft pastel flower heads that bring gentle colour, texture and movement to summer borders and naturalistic plantings.

Achillea Pastel F2 is a beautifully bred yarrow mix that produces flat clustered flower heads in delicate shades of soft pink, peach, lemon, cream and pale lavender. The colours blend effortlessly together, creating a calm meadow style look that suits cottage gardens, mixed borders and wildlife friendly spaces.

The finely cut aromatic foliage adds extra texture and contrast, giving the plants a light airy presence in the garden.

This reliable perennial is selected for strong upright growth and a long flowering season, offering colour from early summer into early autumn. Plants form neat clumps that carry a generous number of flower stems, each packed with long lasting blooms that attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects. The flowers are excellent for cutting and drying, holding their soft pastel tones beautifully in arrangements.

Achillea thrives in full sun and free draining soil, performing especially well in warm dry conditions where other plants may struggle. Its drought tolerance, low maintenance needs and natural resilience make it ideal for modern borders, wildlife gardens, gravel plantings and prairie style designs. The compact habit ensures it fits comfortably into smaller spaces while still giving a generous display.

Hardy and easy to grow, this variety returns reliably each year and gradually forms a stronger clump with even more flowers. Its soft pastel palette and natural movement make it a standout choice for gardeners who enjoy gentle colour and relaxed planting styles.

Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds on the surface of moist free draining compost and press gently into place without covering, as achillea seeds need light to germinate. Maintain gentle warmth and keep the compost evenly moist until seedlings appear. Transplant young plants into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off gradually and plant out after the last frost into a sunny well drained position.

Grow and Maintenance
Water young plants regularly until established, then reduce watering as achillea prefers drier conditions. Remove spent blooms to encourage fresh flowers and prolong the display. Cut back the entire plant after flowering to promote tidy regrowth. Plants are hardy, drought tolerant and rarely need support. Protect young seedlings from slugs and snails.
