Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds thinly in trays of moist, well-drained compost. Lightly cover with fine soil and maintain temperatures at 15 to 20°C. Germination usually occurs within 1 to 3 weeks. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 20 to 25 cm apart. Harden off indoor seedlings and plant out after the last frost

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water regularly during dry spells and feed lightly with a balanced fertiliser to encourage healthy growth. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and maintain a tidy display. Viola × wittrockiana thrives in cool conditions and requires little maintenance once established
