Veronica Lavender Blue Seeds

A graceful and long flowering perennial with upright spikes of small, tubular flowers in soft lavender blue.

 

‘Lavender Blue’ forms neat clumps of lance shaped green foliage and produces elegant flower spires from early to late summer. Its refined colouring and vertical habit make it ideal for borders, rockeries, and cottage style planting.

 

This drought tolerant perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and is perfect for low maintenance gardens, pollinator habitats, and naturalistic schemes.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist compost and press lightly without covering, as light aids germination. Keep at 18 to 22°C until seedlings appear. Transplant into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant outdoors after the last frost. Space plants 25 to 30 cm apart. For best results, sow early and avoid overwatering.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water during dry spells and avoid heavy feeding. Deadhead to prolong flowering or leave seed heads for winter interest. Suitable for borders, rockeries, and pollinator planting. Cut back after flowering to encourage compact growth and reblooming.
