Verbena Bonariensis ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tall cottage garden plant has clusters of purple pink flowers on strong erect stems that has sparse green foliage from mid summer.

They are perfect for growing towards the back of a sunny mixed border and are excellent for encouraging valuable wildlife into the garden.

They can be grown as a perennial in sheltered borders leave the flower heads to over winter and cut back in spring.

Cut back after flowering or leave to over winter.

Sow between February - May on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 5cm pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after the risk of frost has passed.
