Verbascum Phoeniceum Mixed Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This classic hardy perennial has long flowering spikes in a range of colours including white, apricot, pink and purple they bloom on upright stems above dark green foliage.

A long flowering plant that will provide excellent summer displays in mixed borders grow in drifts for a nice effect.

☀️ Sow February - April

☀️Loam or chalky soil thats alkaline or neutral

☀️Germination time 21 - 35 days

☀️Height 90cm

☀️Plant in sun or partial shade

Flowers May - August the following year

☀️Ideal for beds, borders, wildlife, cottage, gravel

☀️Also known as mixed mullein

☀️Cut down after flowering

Sow between February - April on a warm window sill or in a propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed to flower the following year.
