Sunflower Zohar F1 ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow single stemmed sunflower has large golden yellow petels that surround a dark brown central cone.

A pollen free variety that makes an excellent cut flower.

Sunflowers are an excellent choice for encouraging wildlife into the garden.

☀️Loam, chalk or clay soil that's alkaline or neutral

☀️Germination time 7 - 21 days

☀️Height 120cm

☀️Plant in full sun

☀️Flowers July - September

☀️Plant in Beds, borders, pots, containers, wildlife, cottage, cut flower

☀️Also known as Helianthus

☀️Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow from late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow in March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39 - 45cm apart.
