Sunflower Velvet Queen ORGANIC Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow annual is a multi branching variety with medium sized flowers that are deep red in colour with a chocolate brown centre.

Sunflowers are great for attracting valuable wildlife into the garden.

A nice cut flower for around the home.

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow from late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow.

Sow on a sunny window sill into pots of compost.

Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 45cm apart.
