Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds directly outdoors from early spring to late summer for successive crops. Prepare well-drained, fertile soil by working in organic matter. Sow seeds thinly in shallow drills 1-2 cm deep, spacing rows 30 cm apart. Cover lightly with soil and water gently.

 

Thin seedlings to 10-15 cm apart as they grow. Keep soil consistently moist to prevent bolting, especially in warmer weather. Mulching helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

 

For autumn and winter crops, sow from August to October under cloches or in a cold frame for an extended harvest.
